Jean Marc Rommes 

For over 20 years, Jean Marc has built his reputation as a catalyst for professional development and organisational change, helping managers and teams design business strategies, build customer relationships, achieve performance goals and enhance their communication skills and processes.

As a facilitator, he contributes to the implementation of change and development initiatives at some of the world’s leading companies in the technical, automotive, retail and service arenas, mostly in Europe, but also in the Americas, Asia and Africa. A diverse project portfolio, also in the not-for-profit sector and including a number of safety leadership programmes, has allowed him to hone his listening skills and acquire a keen eye for what each company may come to expect from an external consultant.

As a qualified coach, he acts as a sounding board for executives, managers, business owners and independents alike and his international background and multicultural experience have often been perceived as a specific added value to his service provision.

Jean Marc also designs bespoke programmes and business games in the areas of service innovation, customer & consumer relationships and team development.

A few milestone projects:

  • Project management, co-facilitation and event production of a dealer leadership programme for a major car manufacturer. Nearly 1,500 people took part in ten large-scale events.
  • Development and implementation of a climate survey with the subsequent development and implementation of action plans in response to the results of the survey for a construction product manufacturer. Involvement of over 800 people in nine markets and five languages.
  • Design, development and roll-out of a major exceptional customer care programme for a global machine tooling company. Over four years, more than 250 people took part in the programme with an overall satisfaction rate of over 90%.
  • Development and implementation of safety leadership programmes across Europe for over 6 years (with over 150 interventions on over 50 sites), working with staff at all levels from senior management to machine operators.

 

Jean Marc holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Montpellier, France, and speaks fluent English, French, German, Dutch and Luxembourgish, as well as conversational Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. He dislikes Powerpoint, and prefers by far open conversations on complex or contentious subject matters.
